RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Raleigh police officers are seeking the public’s help in solving the 2013 death of a 26-year-old man struck by a hit-and-run driver.

A department release says officers are distributing flyers Wednesday as part of its continuing investigation into the Aug. 3, 2013, death of Dwight Smith.

Officers found Smith in the roadway about 10 p.m. after someone called 911. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to a police report, investigators believe Smith was lying on the pavement when the vehicle struck him and kept going.
