STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Funeral services have been held in North Carolina for an Oklahoma State basketball player who died following a team workout.

The university says in a news release that services were held Saturday for 22-year-old Tyrek Coger at Elizabethtown Middle School in Elizabethtown, North Carolina.

Coger died July 21 following the workout at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater. He had arrived on campus July 5 after transferring to OSU from Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina.

The state medical examiner’s office has said Coger died as the result of an enlarged heart.

He’s survived by his mother and father, four brothers, and his godmother.
