GREENWOOD, Miss. (AP) — The Pentagon says a Mississippi construction company has won a $9.5 million contract to expand the tanker apron at a North Carolina Air Force Base.

According to Friday’s daily list of military contracts, R.C. Construction Co. Inc. of Greenwood is expected to finish the work at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base by Oct. 22, 2017.

It was among four companies that bid for the work.

The contract is through the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville, Kentucky.
