Elizabeth Elliott Jacoby, 91, of Rockingham, passed away January 22, 2013 at her home. She was born November 12, 1921 in Rockingham, a daughter of the late John Adam and Effie Elliott.
Betsy was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Rockett and Alma Cope; and three brothers; Paul, Leak and Billy Elliott.
Betsy was a member of the West Rockingham United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Richmond Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Ben Horton and Rev. Don Dawkins officiating.
Mrs. Jacoby is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Arthur Jacoby of the home. Two daughters, Sherry Jacoby of Portland, OR and Susan Jacoby Murad of Charlotte; and one sister, Helen Elliott of Rockingham. Nephews, Buddy and John Elliott and a niece Martha Rockett.
The family will receive friends at her home, 162 McDonald Church Rd. Rockingham.
Betsy was a devoted wife, mother and talented decorator.
