Mrs. Luda Jenkins Britt, 91, of Rockingham, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Hermitage Retirement Center. She was born October 8, 1921 in Robeson County a daughter of the late, William Bishop and Donie Ivey Jenkins. Mrs. Britt was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rockingham for 65 years. She worked as a school teacher until her retirement; having taught numerous students at Rohanen as well as Richmond Senior High School.

Funeral services will be conducted graveside Wednesday, January 9th at 11:00 am at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Sykes and Rev. Allison Farrah officiating.

Surviving are her daughters, Daphne B. Young of Rockingham and Denise and husband, Bill Morris of Rockingham; four grandchildren, Stacey Young of Alexandria, VA, Buddy Young of Garner, NC, Keri Morris and Adam Morris both of Rockingham; and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 8th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Mrs. Britt’s residence.
