Charles “Charlie” Sherwood Nichols, 60, of Rockingham, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at his home.
Memorial services will be conducted 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the chapel of Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham, with Rev. Mitchell Roller officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was born April 11, 1952, in Richmond County a son of Robert Lewis Nichols and Lucille Nichols Wicker. Nichols worked as an auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lewis Nichols; and three brothers, Kenny Wicker, Mike Wicker, and Bobby Nichols.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice White Nichols of the home; a son, Charles “Charlie” Edward Nichols of Rockingham; a daughter, Candi Nichols Scott of Rockingham; and two grandchildren.
