James Freeman “Jimmy” Thomas, III, 50, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012.

Jim was born December 22, 1961, in Pendayia, Cyprus, the son of Freeman and Nancy Bridler Thomas, and was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School in Lewiston, N.Y. He also attended Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, N.Y.

Jim was employed with Remington Arms as a metallurgist and was a member of the American Legion and H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group).

Jim is survived by his parents of Rockingham, N.C.; a brother, William, of New Jersey; his grandmother, Jean Bridler; two nieces, Ashley and her husband, Zachary Baer, and Alyssa Thomas; and a nephew, Robert Thomas.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 28th at West Rockingham United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Dawkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
