Mrs. Mary Catherine Huguelet Oldham, age 73, of Goldston, NC, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, NC.
She was born in Richmond County on June 3, 1939 to the late Clinton Rudolph Huguelet and Ruth Pate Huguelet. She was also preceded in death by a son John Clinton Oldham.
Mrs. Oldham was a retired elementary school teacher; teaching in Hamlet City Schools, Richmond County Schools and Lee County Schools. She was a member of Carbonton United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Donald Carson Oldham; son Donald C. Oldham, Jr. of Goldston; two daughters Catherine O. Hughes and husband Charles of Fayetteville, Marie O. Johnson and husband Brent of Sanford; brother Jules Huguelet of Hamlet; sister Theresa Preslar of Hamlet and three grandchildren Hunter, Colin and Landon Johnson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16th from 6-8 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral will be Sunday, June 17th at 3:00 PM at Carbonton United Methodist Church with Rev. Ira Smith and Rev. Ira Sutton presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
