Mr. Frank Wilson “Buddy” Andrews, 70, of 871 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, died, Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Sandhills Regional Medical Center, Hamlet.
He was born on September 8, 1941, in Richmond County son of Frank P. Andrews and Mary Elizabeth Richardson Andrews.
He was a member of Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church and was a faithful Christian and a well respected member of the community. He worked for Southern bag for 38 years and enjoyed his retirement with family and friends. “Buddy” was married to his beloved wife and soul mate, Peggy, for 52 years.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church from 6:00-8:00 pm
The Funeral will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 3:00 pm at Jefferson Park Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Webster and Rev. Frank McQuage officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank Edward Andrews (1966); and a daughter, Penny A. McDonald (2004)
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife, Peggy Barrett Andrews of the home; daughter, Sherry A. Greene of Rockingham; son, James “Buster” Andrews and wife Sheila of Tennessee; brother, William Andrews of Rockingham; sisters, Louise DeBerry and husband Herman of Rockingham and Bonnie Callahan and husband Richard of Raleigh; eleven grandchildren, Charles Richard Sparks “Rick” and wife Rebecca, Derrick Richard Sparks, Lance Edward Alton Buchanan and wife Natasha, Samuel Lee Barrington, James Edward McDonald, Bridgette Danielle Buchanan, Shauna Dawn Andrews, Joshua Lee Greene, Jessica Lynn McDonald, Trevor Ryan Andrews, and Faith Elizabeth Locklear; and two great-grandchildren, Charles Ethan Sparks and Braxton Edward Allen Buchanan.
