Richard Bush Sr., 59, of Hamlet, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at FirstHealth Palliative Care in Pinehurst.
Services will be conducted privately.
Richard was born Aug. 18, 1952, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., a son of the late, Edward and Josephine Lewis Bush. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a correctional officer with Camp Pharsalia for many years until his retirement.
Survivors are his wife of 21 years, Rita Bush; two sons, Richard Bush Jr. and Christopher Bush, both of Earlville, N.Y.; a step son, Steven Carrol of Zephyr Hills, Fla., a step daughter, Diane Rydzy of China; a brother, Edward Bush; sister, Lorraine Holmes and eleven grandchildren.
