James Martin “Marty” Layton Jr., 44, of Orlando, Fla., died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday morning at Robert’s Cemetery in Jackson Springs. The family will gather at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
He was born Sept. 15, 1967, in Rockingham, a son of James and Betty Panky Layton. He was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Layton.
Mr. Layton is survived by his wife Bernice M. Layton, two sons; Josh and Ryan Dunnington and two daughters; Jenilee Helton and Sarah Dunnington and two grandchildren. Also surviving are his parents.
