Mrs. Lelia Craft Smith, 92, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. She was born April 17, 1920 in Richmond County.

Mrs. Smith was retired with J. P. Stevens, and then worked at the front desk at Richmond Memorial Hospital for a number of years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe C. Smith; a grand daughter, Lisa Kay Clark; and a sister, Catherine Bryant.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Brenda Arnette Bradley of Rockingham; a son, Bill M. Smith (Betty) of Laurinburg; a sister, Juanita Pate (Curtis) of Danville, Va.; grandchildren, Sandra Clark Steadman (Lindsey) of Rockingham, Dane Clark (Linda) of Harrells, Angela Smith Shively (Elliott) of Ferrum, Va., and Steven M. Smith of Wilmington; great grandchildren, Dylan Steadman, Blaise Steadman, Stephanie Jenkins, Jennifer Osborn, Craig Shively, and Jesse Shively; great great grandchildren, Brennan, Dayton, and Destiney Jenkins, Hailey and Tyler Osborn. There are also many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held at Watson-King Funeral Home, 306 E. Franklin St., Rockingham Thursday, March 21, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. Interment will take place at Richmond Memorial Park, Hwy 74, Rockingham.
