Dear Editor,
I wanted to send a letter to share my appreciation of the management team at the Rockingham Walmart.
I work for the Richmond County Dept of Social Services in the Children’s Unit. I train foster parents and complete adoptions.
One of the foster parents that used to work for our agency and adopted a child from us works at Walmart. He and his staff helped put together a fund raiser for our unit to supply us with baby items for our infants and young children that are in foster care.
On Monday Feb. 11, I picked up over 60 grab bags full of baby items that the community had paid for and donated to DSS. Walmart and the community members who donated the bags made this possible. Unwrapping all the bags and seeing all the cool stuff inside was like Christmas all over again! There was clothes, little bath items, food, baby spoons, pampers, wipes and so much more.
I just wanted to say thanks again for everyone who was a part of this blessing for our unit.
