Richmond County Hospice Inc. announced Thursday that it has selected registered nurse Stephanie Baldwin as the 2012 Richmond County Hospice Employee of the Year.
The winner was announced at the Richmond County Hospice Annual Awards Ceremony.
Baldwin was chosen by her co-workers who said she showed a willingness to “go above and beyond in taking care of her patients.”
She is a weekend RN at the Hospice Haven Inpatient Center where she has been working for a little over one year.
“Stephanie makes sure our patients and families come first and meets their needs regardless of the importance of the call or visit,” her co-workers said.
They said Baldwin is always positive, encouraging, and willing to helps out co-workers and patients.
Executive Director for the Richmond County/Anson Community Hospice said that the dedication that Baldwin shows reflects the mission of hospice which is to “comfort the body and heal the spirit through compassionate quality care during end of life experiences.”
Baldwin received a cash prize for winning employee of the year.
“We are extremely proud of Stephanie’s compassion, excellent nursing care and dedication to patients and families along with her loyalty to our mission at Richmond County Hospice and the Hospice Haven General Inpatient Center,” said Kristina Leyden, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of Inpatient Care and Family Services at Richmond County Hospice.
Richmond County Hospice Inc. is a non-profit organization, governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors, committed to providing quality end of life care to the citizens of Richmond and Anson Counties.
