Mrs. Janice Virginia Odom Goins, 65, of 135 Lady Mary Lane, Rockingham, died, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in Richmond County, March 5, 1947, daughter of John Odom, Sr. and Dorothy Shepheard Odom.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating.

Burial will be at a later date.

At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Chad Johnson, 141 Atkinson Street, Hamlet.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, James Goins.

Mrs. Goins is survived by her three sons, Wayne Johnson & Chad Johnson both of Hamlet and Jody Johnson of Rockingham; brothers, John Odom, Jr. “Peewee” & Eddie Odom both of Bennettsville, SC and Vernon Odom of Maryland; Vickie Bristow of Bennettsville, SC & Debra Ward of Richmond, VA.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
