Two suspects are still at large after a home invasion in Dobbins Heights on Thursday.

Richmond County Sheriff James Clemmons Jr. said his office received a call about a possible kidnapping and shooting at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday. According to Clemmons, two men broke into a home on Daniels Street and tied up and assaulted three individuals, 49-year-old Ricky Kirven, 64-year-old Chiccora Willet Bonds, and 44-year-old Jeffery Bonds.

The two men, armed with guns, wearing hoodies, stole a Gateway desktop computer, a 36-inch Sony flat-screen TV and a 1995 Dodge Caravan. The Dodge was recovered at the Dobbins Heights cemetery, said Clemmons.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Hamlet Police Department and NC State Highway Patrol responded to the incident. Deputy Landon Douglas Cowick was responding to the call when he flipped his patrol car after hydroplaning Thursday evening during a downpour of rain.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or stolen items is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 910-997-8283 or Crimestoppers at 910-997-5454.

Thank you for printing this story, as it relates fo a story you printed on Saturday. The story was in regard to the Thursday night single vehicle accident involving a RCSD vehicle. It is just nice to have all information as soon as possible. Residents should know things like this so they can take extra measures to protect themselves.
