Larry Wayne Moon, 66, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Mr. Moon was born July 22, 1946 in Greensboro a son of the late, Jewel and Nelma Moon. Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rockingham.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Rockingham with Rev. Mike Sykes and Rev. Allison Farrah officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery in West End, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Moon; and a brother, Franklin Moon.
Surviving are his wife, Gaynelle Moon; a daughter, Aimee Diggs and her husband, Mac of Rockingham; a son, David Moon of Rockingham; two granddaughters, Ashleigh Moon and Shelby Diggs; and a sister, Carolyn McKenzie and her husband, John of Pinehurst.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
