Betty Morrison

Betty Arnette Morrison, 78 , of Hamlet, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Childers officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet and at other times at her home 1326 Airport Road, Hamlet.

She was born Oct. 21, 1934, in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John and Bessie Mae Denson Arnette. Morrison retired from Roses in Hamlet and attended Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Archie Morrison of Hamlet. Children, Malcolm T. Morrison II of Rockingham, Cheryl Grainger of Hamlet, Archie Dean Morrison of Hamlet and Barbara Reynolds of Hamlet. Sisters, Pauline Lovett of Rockingham and Elizabeth Morrow of Wadesboro. Brother, Vernon Arnette of Kannapolis. 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, 573 Battley Dairy Road, Rockingham, NC 28379.
