Marian Ann Dockery, 67, of Hamlet, died Nov. 23, 2012, in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Livingston Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Hamlet. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was the daughter of Annie D. McLaurin and the late Willie Campbell Jr. Dockery attended Richmond County Schools and then attended, and graduated in 1970 from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. She had a vibrant teaching career in the Richmond County Schools System. In later years, Dockery worked for Nelson Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Annie D. McLaurin of Greensboro; one brother, Jonathan Dockery (Mary Williams) of Laurinburg, one sister, Denise (Johnny) Brower of Greensboro; and a host of nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews, and cousins.
