Marcus “Mark” Lee Hawn, of Laurinburg passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the age of 55.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial following in Hillside Memorial Park. Rev. Michael Edds will officiate the service.

Marcus was born in Conover, North Carolina on March 22, 1957, loving son of the late Carroll and Carrie Miller Hawn. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He had a distinguished career as an engineer with over 23 years of service with L.O.F. / Pilkington Glass. He faithfully attended the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of The Gideons International. Mark was an avid reader, he enjoyed fishing, sport shooting, and watching NASCAR Racing.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his niece, Ashley Hawn.

Mark is survived by his wife of 17 years, Myra Wilson Hawn and his son, Wilson Lee Hawn of their home in Laurinburg; a brother, Phillip Wayne Hawn and wife Robin of Conover; special sister-in-law, Elaine Wilson of Rockingham and a niece, Carrie Hawn Wright and husband Corey.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, 302 Sanford Road, Laurinburg, NC.

The family request that memorial donations be made to the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church or The Gideons International.
