The groom-elect is the son of Clyde and the late Mayme Thurman of Legrand, Calif. He is currently employed with the Bureau of Prisons in Bennettsville, S.C.
A wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Hamlet.
