Join the American Red Cross on Thursday for a volunteer meeting, located at West Rockingham United Methodist Church, 217 U.S. Highway 74 west in Rockingham. The meeting will be held from 1 to 3 p.m.
A discussion will be held on how to become involved with the American Red Cross in several different areas:
• Disaster Services – Volunteers are trained to respond to local and national disasters. Help your neighbors be prepared for a disaster.
• Blood Services – Volunteers will work as greeters to register donors and to serve refreshments at area blood drives.
• Service to the Armed Forces and Disaster Caseworkers – Volunteers will follow-up with disaster clients and military families requesting emergency communications with the service member.
Training will be provided.
