Rita Kay Perkins, 69, of 127 Perkins Circle, Rockingham, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Southside Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Jacobs and Rev. Jimmy Tennant officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Southside Free Will Baptist Church, and other times at the home, 127 Perkins Circle, Rockingham.
Kay was born in Troy on Nov. 2, 1942, to the late J.P. and Lizzie Ritter Shaw. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Mickey Perkins; three sons, James Bryan Moore of Conway, S.C., Robert Mintz and Ricky Bulla both of Rockingham; three daughters, Yana Mintz of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Rhonda Mintz of Mt. Croghan, S.C., Susan Bulla of Surfside Beach, S.C.; two stepsons, Gene and Mickeal Perkins both of Rockingham; a stepdaughter, Beth Perkins of Rockingham; two sisters, Joann Davidson of Asheboro, Debbie Saunders of Candor; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
