Felton McLaughlin, 85, 104 High St., Ellerbe, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Faith Temple Church, Ellerbe. Elder William McLaughlin Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Public viewing will be from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at McLendon Funeral Home, Ellerbe.
McLaughlin was born on Feb. 20, 1927, in Richmond County. He was the son of the late John McKenzie and Harritt McLaughlin, and was employed at Cutting Wood Saw Mill.
He is survived by a wife, Sarah McLaughlin of the home, sons, Jason McLaughlin, Winson, Ray McLaughlin, Rockingham, Bishop Williams, Walter McLaughlin, Al McLaughlin, Darry Little, and Ricky McLaughlin, all of Ellerbe, daughters, Betty Little and Terri Ann McLaughlin, both of Ellerbe, and Elouise McLaughlin, Fayetteville, 33 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and one sister, Marie Baldwin, Ellerbe.
McLendon Funeral Home, Ellerbe is assisting the family.
