Gerald and Elaine Mabe in August of 1970.
Gerald is the son of Emma Lee Mabe and the late Hobert Monroe Mabe of Rockingham. Elaine is the daughter of Elizabeth Cribbs Stewart and the late Kenneth Bert Stewart, Sr.
Gerald and Elaine attend Trinity Emanuel Holiness Church of Rockingham. Gerald is a deacon of the church and Elaine is a Sunday school teacher.
The couple was given a surprise dinner party at the Church of God of Prophecy in Hamlet by their children and grandchildren. Friends and family of the couple came to join in on the celebration.
The couple plan to take a trip to the North Carolina mountains at a later date.
