Ethel Mae Bracey Lucas, 88, formerly of Hoffman, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at her home in Fayetteville. She was the daughter of the late Malphus Burt and the late Jennie Bracey. Mrs., Lucas was born March 23, 1922 in Hoffman.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Pleasant Hill C.M.E. Church, 119 Bracey Street Hoffman, with Minister Tommy Hart, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Plot Cemetery, 112 Bracey Street, Hoffman.

Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her two daughters, Ethel Brenda and Ella “Sister” .

She is survived by her two grandsons, Stephen Thomas and Adam Thomas, both of New York; one granddaughter and six great-grandchildren.
