A dinner was held for the couple at Freedom Baptist Church. The dinner was catered by Simply Elegant Catering of Rockingham.
Joining them in their celebration were approximately 65 family members and friends.
The couple has two sons, Darrell and wife Karen and Russell and wife Kelly of Rockingham; four grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Matt Roberts of Hamlet, Ben Kirk and fiancée Jami Popowich, also of Hamlet, and Alex and Tyler Kirk of Rockingham; and one great-grandchild, Shelby Grace Roberts, born July 27, 2010.
The Kirk’s also celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Bermuda in early June.
