Margaret was born August 23, 1918 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late George and Sallie Crisco Warner. As long as her health allowed she was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Ellerbe where in her younger life she was a Sunday School teacher for the children and the young adults. She retired from textiles where she was a pairer. She was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Williams Jr. in 1987.
She is survived by her daughter Sherrie McCormick and husband Joe of Ellerbe, one sister Lucille W. Titus of Va., and two Grandchildren Shelley McCormick and Scott McCormick and wife Brandy both of Ellerbe and two Great Grandchildren Hayley and Carley McCormick.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Ellerbe with Rev. Jim Brown, Rev. Paul Hill, and Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Ellerbe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe and at other times at the home of her daughter at 137 Mill St. Ellerbe.
