Jessica Blackburn and Neil Everett
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ray Blackburn of Claremont and Penny Zucco of Catawba.
She is the granddaughter of Troy and Anita Hartsoe of Newton and Brenda and Steve Roberts of Maiden.
The groom-elect is the son of Jerry and Candace Everett of Rockingham. He is the grandson of Jackie and Steve Parrish of Elgin, S.C., Robert Everett of Shallotte, Macie Prevatte of Rockingham and the late Roy Prevatte.
Blackburn is a 2006 graduate of Bandys High School and graduated summa cum laude in May from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a degree in elementary education.
Everett is a 2008 graduate of Richmond Senior High School and will graduate next year from UNCP with a degree in social studies education.
The couple will wed on Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Gospel Baptist Church in Newton.
