Dear editor:
Over the last five weeks I have had the pleasure of taken my grandchildren to the public libraries in this area for their summer reading program.
I was completely surprised at the hard work that goes into a summer reading program. I wish libraries were this much fun when I was a kid. If anyone did not take their child or grandchild to the library for their programs, shame on you.
The two ladies, Mrs. Debbie and Mrs. Peggy are two of the funnies ladies I have every seen in my life. You can tell they love children. If there is an agency in Richmond County that is looking for someone to do a children program, you need to hire these two ladies. They go together like two peas in a pod. Plus, one of them loves water and chasing kids around a yard getting wet. Plus, anyone that will make over 250 snow cones and still call all the kids sweetie and honey in a hot afternoon is number one in my book.
I know for a fact all I heard was praises for these two ladies and the libraries in Richmond County. I want to personally thank you and can’t wait to see you next year. Plus, thanks for letting the adults have fun and a snow cones also.

Good letter! I am afraid that our libraries do not receive the support that they should! It seems that all of the emphasis in this county is on sports, and that cultural and educational activities are always on the short end of the budget.
