Stella L. Matteo, 77, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at her home. She was born July 25, 1933 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late William H. and Missouri Elizabeth Inman.

She attended Richmond County Schools and was a caregiver most of her life.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Debbie Holloway officiating.

She is survived by a son, Bill Matteo of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Three granddaughters; brothers, Harry Inman of Hamlet and Billy Wayne Inman of Denton.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
