GREEN LAKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will be celebrating Homecoming with a former member and Richmond County resident, Rev. Roger Thrower . Roger’s parents are the late Thomas and Elizabeth Dawkins Thrower; his brother is T.K. (Tommy) Thrower of Rockingham and his sister is Mary who lives in Nashville, Tenn. Rev. It also offers kids “backstage” access as they learn foundational truths such as the 10 Commandments, the books of the Bible, and how to be saved by grace through faith. Aug. 1 registration begins at 5:30 p.m. August 2 - 6, 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Dinner provided nightly. Ages 3 - 6th grade. An adult class will also be offered.

FRIENDSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH Hwy. 177 Dobbins Heights will have their annual Homecoming on with morning worship at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. J.L. McCullers.
