She was born in Petersburg, VA., August 29, 1920, daughter of Elaise Jones Pratt Williamson.
She was a homemaker, a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Richmond, VA and Triangle Garden Club of Richmond.
A visitation will be held at the home of her daughter, Hope, and son-in-law, Robert, at 606 Rice St., Hamlet, Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held in Warrenton, VA.
Mrs. George was preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph M. George, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Hope Pemberton of Hamlet; son, Joseph M. George, Jr. of Charlotte; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the George Family.
