KEMPSVILLE, Va. — The Rockingham Mustang All-Stars won twice on Friday to stay alive in the PONY regional tournament.

Rockingham defeated host Kempsville, 12-2, and later topped Davidson, N.C., 6-1.

The wins set up a 9 a.m. rematch today with Western Branch, Va., which gave Rockingham its only loss of the tournament.

If Rockingham wins that game, it must turn around and beat that same team again to advance.

Jack Webb had three hits and Johnathan Lee added two hits in the first game.

Josh Ingram and Josh Griffith combined for the win on the mound.

In the victory over Davidson, Lee had a pair of hits, and Webb and Myles Rohleder combined to hold Davidson to a single run.
