Candace Lynn Williams and Dustin Alan Heath were united in marriage on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 5 p.m. by Reverend Chris Kuhne during a waterfront ceremony at Scotts Hill Marina and Clubhouse in Wilmington.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Connie Williams of Ellerbe. She is the granddaughter of Mauyer and Dot Hancock of Ellerbe and the late Charlie and Etta Currie Williams of Robbins.

The groom is the son of Steve and Susan Heath of Rural Hall. He is the grandson of Fred and Clara Heath of Troutman and Joyce Eisiliones and the late Joe Eisiliones of High Point. He is the Godson of Sarah Bean of Greensboro.

Candace is a 2002 graduate of Richmond Senior High School, a 2005 graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a bachelors degree in elementary education, and a 2007 graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a masters degree in language and literacy – reading education. She is currently employed as a third grade teacher for Pender County Schools.

Dustin is a 2001 graduate of North Forsyth High school and a 2005 graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a bachelors degree in business marketing. He is the current manager of Aquatic Safaris in Wilmington.

Given in marriage by her parents, Wayne and Connie Williams, the bride wore an elegant white gown designed with a sweetheart neckline accented with ruching on the entire bodice and neckline. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, roses, and cymbidium orchids wrapped in fabric from her mother’s wedding gown. She also wore a ring passed down from her great-grandmother, Thelma Priddy.

Rachel Wells, of Kailua, HI, served as maid of honor. Cameron Davis of Charlotte, Jill Phongsa of Savannah, Ga., Jenny Nicely of Charlotte, Erin Aldridge of Greenville, Lesley Warren of Wilmington, and Liz Lancaster of Wilmington all served as bridesmaids. They each wore identical turquoise strapless satin knee length dresses with ruching similar to the bride’s gown.

Steve Heath of Rural Hall, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Seth Heath of Raleigh, Chase Heath of Wilmington, NC, Todd Williams of Ellerbe, Drew Arndt of Wilmington, Reid Duke of Wilmington, and Wesley Kinney of Wilmington. The groomsmen, along with the groom, wore identical white dress shirts, accented with a starfish and bear grass, along with tan linen pants.

David Pray served as guitarist and Amanda Yarbrough Hill served as program attendant.

A couples shower was hosted by Reid Duke and Lesley Warren, Louie and Gail Warren, and Dennis and Dean Duke in Wilmington.

A bridal luncheon was hosted by Connie Williams in Wilmington. A rehearsal dinner and wedding celebration was hosted by Steve and Susan Heath in Wrightsville Beach.

A “meet the couple” reception was hosted by Bonnie Yarbrough, Sharon Dees, Dot Hancock and Connie Williams in Ellerbe and also by Nancy Tate and Susan Heath at Badin Lake.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a nautical themed reception at Scotts Hill Marina Clubhouse. The couple honeymooned in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic and currently reside in Wilmington.
