Chamber hosts festival of beers

SOUTHERN PINES – Let your mind wander to a place where you can wind down after a long summer day with an ice cold beer or simply enjoy the ambiance of a charming town on a summer evening. Sound like a dream? Well, you’re in luck. The Moore County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced it will be hosting a Festival of Beers, Saturday, August 21 at Weymouth Center in Southern Pines, North Carolinas. Tickets cost $20 per person and pre-registration and payment is required.

 “This is going to be a really exciting event,” stated Patrick Coughlin, President and CEO of the Chamber. “We are so happy to be able to host the Festival of Beers to showcase local entertainment and unique breweries.”

This event is a great way to experience an evening of fun and entertainment like only North Carolina can offer. We encourage you to get your tickets so can stop by, relax, and discover the many brews available.

 This event will be held at the beautiful Weymouth Center, a historic home and landmark in Moore County. It was built by James Boyd, a steel and railroad industrialist from Pennsylvania, who came to Southern Pines in the early 1900’s. He purchased twelve hundred acres and created an estate that included stables, tennis courts, gardens and a nine-hole golf course.
