ST. MARY’S HOLINESS CHURCH 178 Channie McManus Dr. in Dobbins Heights and the Solid Rock Holiness Churches Inc. will honor the pastor and overseer Mother Mary L. Quick with an 11th anniversary celebration at 4 p.m. The special guest will be Pastor Ricardo Leak and his congregation of Ashley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church of Rockingham.

LIVINGSTONE CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will begin their revival at 3 p.m. and ending on July 9. Dinner will be served after morning worship and at 3 p.m., Rev. Alberta Jones along with her choir and congregation of Holly Grove Baptist church will be the guest for the afternoon. Rev. LEAK STREET CULTURAL CENTER will host the “Women of Purpose” Conference on Saturday July 10, at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by: Edna Dumas Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. who will also be the speaker.

NEW DIGGS CHAPEL A.M.E ZION CHURCH will celebrate its homecoming and revival starting with homecoming on Sunday July 11, and continue with a three night revival starting Wednesday July 14 through Friday July 16. Sunday School will begin Sunday at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. with the host pastor Rev. Carol Turner. Dinner will be served following morning services. Evening service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Stanley Gould and his church family from Lee Thee A.M.E Zion Church. The evangelist for the Wednesday Thursday and Friday Services is Rev. Dr. Jerry Tyson and his church family from Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro. Services will begin nightly at 7 p.m.

FREEDOM MINISTRIES NUMBER 1 in Hamlet, will be celebrating their first choir anniversary on Sunday July 11 at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Angelo Troy will be preaching and his choir and congregation will accompany him from St. Peters United Methodist Church in Hamlet. The church is located at the Dobbins Heights Community Building at 195 Daniel St.

On Saturday at noon the Youth Service will be held with keynote speaker Evangelist Cella Nelson of Winston Salem, formerly of Hamlet. And on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. will be a sermon by presiding Overseeer Mary L. Quick.

The Food Bank benefit will be July 24 at 8:30 a.m. at Cypress Creek Hwy. 74 in Maxton.
