A Ford Explorer ran off of Biltmore Drive in Rockingham and into the small river across from a Laundromat Wednesday afternoon. The driver and passenger were not hurt. Driver Ashley Mabe said she got hot and blacked out. The passenger, Brittany Drigger, was able to steer the SUV away from other cars. Tony Alshaif, owner of the Biltmore Drive Convenience Store, and other bystanders helped to pull the two women out of the car.
