LAURINBURG – The St. Andrews Presbyterian College Press added four new titles to the catalog this spring.

Literary magazines Gravity Hill VI and Cairn 45: The St. Andrews Review join The View From the Void by Bobby G. Price and 2010 Alan Bunn Memorial Chapbook winning manuscript, grateful fish by Gregory Gray, as the spring publications for one of the longest running undergraduate presses in the country.

“In the past, Gravity Hill has thrived because of the faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the college,” said student editor and 2010 graduate Stephanie Kjelgaard. “After five years of success on St. Andrews’ campus, Gravity Hill opened its arms and accepted submissions from the surrounding community.”

Among the local authors published were Joe McGinley, Shirley D. Jones, Blake Allen, Mark Gretch and Janice Morrison with selections ranging from poetry to short prose.

“It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share the works from the community alongside our students,” said faculty advisor and writing instructor Ted Wojtasik. “We are hopeful that this is the first group of contributors in the community that will continue to grow for years to come.”

Cairn 45: The St. Andrews Review includes poetry, fiction and reviews with selections by featured writers David Capps, John Williamson and Wojtasik.

The View From the Void is a collection of poetry compiled as St. Andrews alumnus Price recovered from brain surgery to remove a tumor and a stroke.
