The admission is $3 for adults and $2 for school age children. There will be a watermelon race, children’s games, boat rides, face painting, hot-dogs, hamburgers, barbecue and vendors.
The opening ceremony will be on the stage at 2 p.m. with the presentation of colors, National Anthem, honors to fallen heroes and the Invocation and the Lee Thee Men’s Chorus will perform. At 3 p.m. the bluegrass band Blue Horizon will play and at 4 p.m. bluegrass band Timbercreek will perform. At 5 p.m. the Quicksilver Cloggers will take the stage and there will be a clogging contest. At 6:15 p.m. the award for the Ellerbe Lions Club Distinguished Citizen will be announced followed by Bobby Clark Jr. The Knights of Harmony will follow at 6:30 p.m. And at 7:30 p.m. Freedom Baptist Praise Band will play and. Fireworks will follow at dusk.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed, coolers may be inspected by law enforcement officers. Pets aren’t allowed and there is plenty of parking.
