The best memories your child often has are memories from summertime. School is out, the sun is shinning, the stress from school performance is over for a while and best of all, sleeping late in the morning.

However, summer time is a great time for kids to get personal enrichment and grow in their self awareness. The “down time” of summer time can be a excellent time to expose your child to new and exciting opportunities for personal growing and learning about being self aware ,more confident, and skilled at communicating with others.

Summer is a season to help your child strengthen areas of personal weaknesses. Pre school, school aged and teen youth have issues with low self esteem, resolving grief and loss, adjusting to change, feeling lonely without school friends. The summer months is a good time to help your child” catch up” emotionally, mentally, and evening spiritually. Children are not any different than their parents, when it comes to being supported. Kids crave new and improved ways to learn about themselves and the world around them. Their developing brain craves this new experience.

Kids need and require positive, affirming opportunities to express their fears, confusion, doubts questions, and underlying anxieties. Parents can use the summer season as a time to offer and expose your child to new ways to grow and learn about themselves. Summer is an excellent time for your child to benefit from a “coaching experience”.

Coaching, is a positive, uplifting and challenging experience for kids and parents to bond, resolve problems, make new goals, be encouraged and acknowledged. Coaching builds self esteem, self esteem strengthens performance and confidence in all areas of a child’s life. Children respond to coaching because it works. It helps the child connect to the best part of who they are. It promotes creativity, which stimulates the brain in ways to problem solve.

Coaching, bridges communication between parents and children and between mothers and fathers.

Coaching works for parents who are experience, divorced and are attempting to have blended families and or to co-parent their children. Parents can learn “parenting tips in a positive environment where they can also learn about the emotional needs, brain development, and communication behavioral management, positive reinforcement methods. Small problems like chores, sibling conflicts, self esteem are addressed in coaching. Big problems like divorce, loss and grief from death and major family changes like a move are supported and explored in coaching. The coaching experience is designed so your child grows and learns in a non-threathing way. The coaching relationship between the parent child and coach is vital to the process of teaching your child greater self awareness during these up coming summer months.
