Mrs. Bobbie Lineberger Cox, 84, of Hamlet, passed away Friday, June 19, 2010 at her home. She was born February 9, 1926 in Richmond County a daughter of the late, Benjamin Thomas and Cora Emma Cloninger Lineberger. She was a member of East Rockingham United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cox worked as a knitting inspector in the textile industry until her retirement.

Funeral services will be conducted graveside Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Eastside Cemetery with Rev. Dena White officiating.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Robert Cox; a daughter, Sarah Frances Cox; four sisters, Viola Allen, Lucille Sanford, Elizabeth Hall, and Margaret Patterson; and two brothers, Buck Lineberger and Bill Lineberger.

Surviving are a son, Warren C. Cox and his wife, Wanda of Hamlet; a daughter, Martha Lisk of Rockingham; two grandchildren, Kim Bowers and her husband, Michael of Rockingham and Angela Andrews and her husband, Brooks of Raleigh; and four great grandchildren, Noah Bowers, Mica Bowers, Madison Bowers, and Ava Andrews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
