The Richmond County Schools Education Foundation hosted 80 golfers for its annual Foundation Golf Tournament Tuesday at the National Golf Club in Pinehurst. The tournament’s purpose was to raise money to purchase interactive technology. Last year, the tournament raised more than $12,000, but this year’s take is still being tallied. Chuck McLean, Eddie McDonald, Jamie McDonald and Michael Way were the first place winners with a score of 53.

those commenting with negative comments about the Robinettes must not know them personally. the things they do are not to benefit themselves or to make money, they actually spend more time helping others, the negative comments comes from nothing but jealously. its so rare that people that have as much to give as the robinettes actually give to others and not worry about how it is going to benefit them.

Both of the golf courses in Richmond County are in TERRIBLE condition. Goats would starve at these places. No golfer with any degree of skill would go near these places.

I place RPCC every weekend and it may not be in great shape, you are wrong any golfer with any degree of skill would play if not only to make them a better golfer and that's why they are in the shape they are because people like you will not play the ones in richmond county..

You have got to be kidding me. Do you think the Robinettes make money off of this tournament? Would the two locsl courses donate the course for nothing? It is so embarrassing to me as a citizen of this county that there are people so unwilling to find out the truth before posting negative comments about people who are actually trying to help. Tentstars1 what have you done to help the coummunity

Shop in Richmond County - absolutely, no argument there. Now let's put whatever your agenda is aside and look at this logically: Both of the golf courses in Richmond County are in TERRIBLE condition. Goats would starve at these places. No golfer with any degree of skill would go near these places. Let's see, if I were putting on a golf tournament to raise money for the schools in Richmond County I would want to raise as much money as possible to make it worthwhile. Mr. Robinette, whether you like him or not, offers the use of one of the finest courses in the Pinehurst area at little or no cost. Am I missing something here? I guess the moral of this story is that those who support the RC Schools are glad you were not responsible for putting on this tournament.

Aren't most of the people that played in this the same persons who just two weeks ago were saying "shop in Richmond County", but yet they can't even use one of the two local courses for an event to benefit Richmond Co. schools. Oh by the way, we all know who owns this course....Mr. Kenneth Robinette..I wonder if this will even get printed, my last one didn't
