Running deer with dogs is a sport that gives the deer a sporting chance. It’s hard to shoot a deer running 50 miles an hour, also you can take your kid hunting. Still hunting, when you climb a tree and kill a deer over baited corn, is not called a sport. Still hunters sneak on your property, kill your deer and never report it to the wildlife management.
This hunter will not lease land. If he hunts rabbits and coons with dogs, he might as well bait them also - then he can just have a slaughter. If they ban dog running, let them ban baiting. It’s a sad way to kill a deer of any sex when he is coming in to your corn pile to eat. You can not call this a sport, but a sniper killing. Enough said.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I would add that still hunters most definitely take their sons or daughters hunting also. Why wouldn't they? Also, teach those young hunters the safe way to hunt and to not trespass or interrupt other hunters while they are enjoying their hunting time.
Also, as far as still hunting not being a true sport; please tell me what kind of sport it is when you kill only large buck who are filled out while letting smaller deer walk? Because, if you think killing deer who aren't mature, some that have spots all over them (Bambis), and some that aren't even as big as the dogs you are using to kill them a sport than you must be confused on what a sport is. Redneck much?
So as my take on dog hunting... quit crying, sell your dogs, & start being a true sportsman. STILL HUNT.
Sincerly,
True Still Hunters
