Craig Davis Sr., 83, of Rockingham, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at his home. He was born May 14, 1927 in Chilhowie, Va.. Craig was a graduate of Penn State University and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife were the owners and operators of Connie’s Furniture and Flea Market.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with his grandson, Rev. Zekiel Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Davis; a second wife, Constance “Connie” Davis; two sons, Everette C. Davis, Jr. and Raymond Carl Davis; two brothers; and four sisters.

Surviving are a special friend, Doris Chavis; his children, Deborah and her husband, Michael, Sam and his wife, Gail, Mark and his wife, Melissa, Bobby, Jimmy, and Connie; 12 grandchildren, Dottie, Sherri, Maria, Ryan, Samantha, Brittany, Adam, Amanda, Jake, Zekiel, Charles, and Vickie; 17 great grandchildren.
