Relay for Life raises awareness of cancer

As many as 5,000 people were expected to attend the annual Relay for Life event Friday night at Raider Stadium in Rockingham. The crowd gave honors to the flag early in the ceremonies and Benji Burr released 21 white doves. The event is designed to raise awareness about cancer and raise money to help fight it. Totals on the event should be available next week.
