POLKTON — Correction and law enforcement officers are searching for

minimum-custody inmate, Brian Knotts. Knotts was a work-release inmate who worked the third shift at Pilgrim’s Pride chicken processing plant in Marshville. He was last seen at the plant about 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Knotts was serving a minimum sentence of 12 years and three months after being convicted as a habitual felon, habitual impaired driver and for driving with a revoked license. He was due for release in January

2011.

Knotts was assigned to the minimum-security unit at Brown Creek Correctional Institution in Polkton.
