Rev. Ruth Beasley McSween, 71, of 247 Northside Drive, Rockingham, died on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 29, 1938, daughter of the late Uriah and Marena McInnis.

Rev. Ruth Beasley McSween was a Certified License Practitioner/Registered Nurse with 49 years of professional experience in the HealthCare field. She was a Pastor who served for several local churches in Richmond County. She has served in various capacities in many other churches in North Carolina and New York.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Beasley, and also nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Wayman Chapel Faith Center, 451 Osborne Road, Hamlet, with the pastor, Janice Ingram, officiating. Burial will follow in the Stelly’s Tabernacle Church Cemetery, Rockingham.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham. Also viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church on Monday prior to service.

She is survived by her husband, John McSween of Rockingham; two sons, Earl Beasley and Rickey Beasley of Greensboro; one sister, Naomi McInnis of Rochester, N.Y.; one brother, Fred McInnis of Buffalo, N.Y.; five grand-daughters; one grandson; andone great grandson.

Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham is assisting the family.
