Letter to the Editor
While we were at church, on the evening of April 25 a cement bird bath with a pedestal and two large cement plant buckets was taken from our yard.
Though the monetary value of the items is not that great, what disturbs us is the dishonesty and moral values that seem so prevalent in our county and state. We seem so interested in having new businesses and industries come to our area, and all the while some set such a poor example of high values. It is one thing to fear the law but a great concern is the “Fear the Lord.” Even an atheist knows its wrong to take something that belongs to others.
We are proud of our community and county. May we unite, in setting and expressing real home grown values of honesty. This must be taught in homes.

I am sorry for your losses and your idea is great, however like me you live in the past, it is 2010 and in order to teach values to the young , you must get permission from social services to teaach, correct or disipline your child these days. You cant make them go to school, learn ethics, do any chores, unless it is apporved by social services. Your neighbor, your mailman your minister or doctor , even the teachers at school can bring down the wraith of the social services on you in a minute. then you go through this drawn our process to prove you have done nothing wrong ,except maybe ask your child to take out the trash. Good luck in finding your belongings and pray for this screwed up society we have elvolved into, god bless
