Richmond County/Anson Community Hospice honored their volunteers this week at Cole Auditorium in Hamlet during their annual volunteer banquet.

Volunteers were treated to dinner provided by The Seaboard Station, courtesy of Watson King Funeral Home, entertainment by The RSHS Show Choir and door prizes provided by local businesses.

"Hospice volunteers make such a difference in the lives of our patients and their families providing respite care when family caregivers are weary, sitting with patients and offering companionship, or just listening and giving support where needed,” said Faith Jones, volunteer coordinator.

“In addition, volunteers answer phones, file paperwork, prepare special goodies for patients, help fundraisers, and are currently beautifying our grounds."
